THE
PROGRAMME : Our
programme is comprised of 3 essential components |
|
|
|
|
1.
On-Ice |
Each
participant will receive 15 hours of on-ice instruction .
Goaltenders will learn to keep their game simple by learning how to
get hit by the puck more often. Young goaltenders must learn to work
before the shot by improving your quickness and learning to make
yourself as big in the net as possible in every situation. Six work
stations will be set up along the perimeter of the ice. Each station
will emphasize a different goaltending skill. Emphasis will be placed
on puck handling, rebound control, positioning, recovery, coordinated
movement in your crease and agility. This comprehensive program
developed by Program Director Patrick Dallaire will assist you in
your efforts to bring your game to the next level. |
|
2.
Off-Ice |
Everybody
registered in the camp will participate in a total of 5 hours of
off-ice activities. Chris Wilmot, a Certified Personal Trainer with
Can-Fit Pro will lead all participants in plyometrics, flexiability,
strength training, muscular endurance, hand-eye coordination,
quickness, explosive power and cardiovascular conditioning. |
|
3.
Classroom
|
A
total of 3 hours of classroom instruction will be provided
throughout each camp. Topics such as mental preparedness, nutrition,
healthy and active lifestyle, hockey and education, life as an
athlete, and recovery from injuries will be dealt with be
professionals from within each of these fields. |
